Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Liu Yan Yan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pedro Manzanares but with some difficulty. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Petru Nisporeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Guadalupe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 26th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Petru Nisporeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petru Nisporeanu was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Örjan Forssell sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Petru Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82nd play minutes Örjan Forssell shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Pedro Manzanares and just under the crossbar into goal. 85 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Forssell came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Örjan Forssell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
