Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno. In the 27th minute, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan. Abdulkadir Eraslan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Miau Stars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 39 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miau Stars the free kick. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 3-1 after 41 minutes of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ronaldo Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ronaldo Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Fenomeno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 62ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Luis Andino sped through Miau Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abdulkadir Eraslan. Miau Stars's Marco Veremundo was substituted for Palmer Akers. Miau Stars's Anton Bröms was substituted for Olavo Mota. Miau Stars's Jean-Claude Van Damme was substituted for Edmílson Arantes. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 70th minute of the match. Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Fenomeno came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
