To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Jean Marie Alcius. 15 minutes into the game, La Guaina FC's Constantino Mitxel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Seide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of La Guaina FC booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernso Constant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philippe Ambroise didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Mitxel came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodney Emmanuel kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, La Guaina FC's Jonas Tano tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Benito Frisco was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Benito Frisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 33 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Jean Marie Alcius. After 34 played minutes, La Guaina FC's Jonas Tano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Noel Seide came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Guaina FC reached it. Aurel Trică made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jonathan Alphonse sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Alphonse got free with Aurel Trică in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Cordarrol was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Emmanuel. Segundo Cordarrols short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Noel Seide to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 61 minutes, Fernan Salbatore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Guaina FC and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 64th minute of play forced La Guaina FC's goalkeeper Aurel Trică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodney Emmanuel hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Hipolito Cordara in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Ernso Constant. Haiti's Raymond Louis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hipolito Cordara in the 76 minute of the game. When Ernso Constant fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haiti's protests and gave Ernso Constant a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernso Constant to maneuver through the defense. Aurel Trică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 83rd minute of the match. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Evis, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Jonathan Alphonse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Fernan Salbatore with Segundo Cordarrol as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Segundo Cordarrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Guaina FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
