Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Barcelos in the 3rd minute of play. Matthew Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Feliberto Gonsalvo in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Candido Firmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliberto Gonsalvo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 15th minute. With an all-out effort, Panama's Feliberto Gonsalvo threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. If Lucas Barcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Barcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 30th minute of play forced C A U's goalkeeper Feliberto Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C A U's attentive Gaudencio Iturri managed to snatch the ball when Matthew Garrido made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. C A U's Gaudencio Iturri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Matthew Garrido, made in the 45th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

C A U's Eliseo Hurko was substituted for Candido Firmo. The wind increased when Lucas Barcelos made the kick off in the second half. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Barcelos in the 52nd minute of play. Feliberto Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, C A U's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Feliberto Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Lucas Barcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. C A U's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Barcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C A U made a substitution. Ceferino Hever replaced Conrado Ferrer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthew Garrido during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, C A U was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico González to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Matthew Garrido in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C A U's Rodolfo Cordarin. In the 81st minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Nahia in the 86th minute of play. After 89 minutes of play, C A U's Jorge Nahia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Feliberto Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 93rd minute of the match. Jorge Nahia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Marcos Cotilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The C A U supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C A U would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
