Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciprian Alupoaie was a little too slow when Isidoro Sarmiento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great ball. Ciprian Alupoaie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 13th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Horațiu in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, A.C. Milan's Emil Horațiu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Alupoaie having to interfere. If Emil Horațiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Aaron Barrios struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ciprian Alupoaie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Ciprian Alupoaie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of the match. Octav Hodorog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Dinu Adomniței cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciprian Alupoaie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C. Milan's Ciprian Alupoaie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 68 minutes, Eric Cartiș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C. Milan and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes A.C. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Horațiu in the 78th minute. Tomas Berganza scored 5-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciprian Alupoaie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Panama fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Panama's Tomas Berganza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Panama's Miguel Miralles got a free kick in the 89th minute. Marcos Cotilla acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mircea Olăroiu. After 92 played minutes A.C. Milan got a freekick which was hit by Octav Hodorog. Emil Horațiu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Panama had played much better football throughout.
