Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Aritza in the 12th minute of the match. Odpalony's Zacarias Aritza got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miroslaw Bycofski hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Odpalony booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Leszek Gollob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The wind increased when Zacarias Aritza made the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leszek Gollob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Odpalony's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Zacarias Aritza made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Odpalony's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
