Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Maxi Moco made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play forced Lamarque F. C.'s goalkeeper Basilio Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Garaona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of the match. Basilio Garaona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Garaona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Garaona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Gabriel Indartsu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lamarque F. C. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lamarque F. C.'s Gabriel Indartsu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Basilio Garaona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Garaona having to interfere. After some careless play in the Lamarque F. C. defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basilio Garaona. The Lamarque F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Garaona should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Basilio Garaona was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lamarque F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Lamarque F. C.'s Basilio Garaona managed to reach the ball for a save. 58 minutes into the match, Lamarque F. C.'s goalkeeper Basilio Garaona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Basilio Garaona in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Abila during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 89 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Basilio Garaona quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
