Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Allan Varela made a huge save. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Allan Varela however easily saved by the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allan Varela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, 吴洲坚 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and 吴洲坚 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Chile booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. 吴洲坚 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorginho Ferreira made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Paulo Godoi. Orlando Casaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Varela having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 43rd minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Boyisana Mnisi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Varela was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mariano Lacasa. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner. Hudson Sergipano went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hudson Sergipano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 63rd minute of play. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Niclas Danielsson replaced Hudson Sergipano. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Percival Cruz replaced 吴洲坚. Chile's Xavier Figueroa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Allan Varela in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palestra do Interior's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Orlando Casaus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela did a great save. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Chile's Orlando Casaus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Vitório Lago replaced Paulo Godoi. In the 76th minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Lago came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thiago Pliego could save by the left post. In the 80th minute, Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Orlando Casaus hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 92nd play minutes Vitório Lago shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Thiago Pliego and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Chile booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chile's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
