But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grabiel Escorcia to maneuver through the defense. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nacional's Juaneizu Merida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 27th minute of play. Juaneizu Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 28th minute of play. Joseph Gayoso struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Nacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xu Sha in the 40th minute. The corner led Nacional's Xu Sha to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Grabiel Escorcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. In the 90th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Indiano to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nacional's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Colombia's Abram Secada getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nacional walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
