Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Edgardo Patxi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Patxi having to interfere. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tristan Baldwin in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Edgardo Patxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Patxi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Saelices's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lengua de Lobo's Edgardo Patxi. Edgardo Patxi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes into the game, Pelayo Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lengua de Lobo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Lengua de Lobo getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Pelayo Silva hit a great ball. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgardo Patxi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 38 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lengua de Lobo's Edgardo Patxi. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edgardo Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tristan Baldwin to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lengua de Lobo's goalkeeper Edgardo Patxi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgardo Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lengua de Lobo's Jaime Nayely was substituted for Severino Azibar. 80 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's goalkeeper Edgardo Patxi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Edgardo Patxi to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play forced Lengua de Lobo's goalkeeper Edgardo Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Patxi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 96th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Edgardo Patxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lengua de Lobo.
