When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miliano Sacristán in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Moises Gayoso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Simbo FC's Sabri Ravelli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute Simbo FC were awarded a corner. Sabri Ravelli went to the cornerflag to take it. 76 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 89 minutes into the match, Miliano Sacristán had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miliano Sacristán was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The Simbo FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
