Emil Giurăscu made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sever Logofătu immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Lucrețiu Bobei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Bobei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's Toader Bran got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sever Pâslaru in the 65th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Bobei in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Gisbert came free, but Toader Bran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Lucrețiu Bobei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CRAIOVA JUNIOR's Toader Bran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toader Bran. Toader Bran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2.
