Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benjamin das Neves hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of Araguaia Sport Clube booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Lira in the 20th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luan Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benjamin das Neves who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Benjamin das Neves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ademir Lira scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Azevedo having to interfere. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Araguaia Sport Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

In the 52nd minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 62nd minute of play forced Araguaia Sport Clube's goalkeeper José Carlos Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Carlos Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Carlos Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After having played for 82 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Costa Rica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Araguaia Sport Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Araguaia Sport Clube.
