In the 4th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Macias scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Modesto Santikurtz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 17th minute of play. After 20 minutes Diego Eterno's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Diego Eterno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Kiliz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Modesto Santikurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Macias, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Joel Macias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Adan Piarres in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. A hard shot 36 in the game by Joel Macias from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. If Jaime Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Diego Eterno's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Franco came free, but Modesto Santikurtz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Escribano struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Modesto Santikurtz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bello Tajo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes Diego Eterno got a freekick which was hit by Wei Liang Qian. Jaime Cazalla didn't quite understand what happened when in the 68 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Modesto Santikurtz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 70th minute of play. A hard shot 71 in the game by Camilo Franco from a close distance when the talented Modesto Santikurtz managed to make a qualified save. Diego Eterno's players were relieved. Pang Xing Chen charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pang Xing Chen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute of the match Jaime Cazalla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Modesto Santikurtz skillfully saved the ball. After 79 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. With a little luck, Diego Eterno's Modesto Santikurtz got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Modesto Santikurtz came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. A collision led to Diego Eterno getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Wei Liang Qian hit a great ball. Jaime Cazalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Santikurtz having to make a save. Jairo Kiliz took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Diego Eterno fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
