The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the game, La Cosa Nostra's Hans Otterlei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Otterlei's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Hans Otterlei made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Hans Otterlei managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cosa Nostra's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Otterlei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Hans Otterlei notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hans Otterlei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Otterlei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Curacao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Cosa Nostra were winning 0-9.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stanley Wallace made a kick off. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hans Otterlei showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 53 minute of play. Hans Otterlei scored 0-11 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Hans Otterlei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Hans Otterlei tried to chip the ball over his head. La Cosa Nostra made a substitution. Marciano Bizen replaced Hans Otterlei. La Cosa Nostra's Abelardo Alvarez was substituted for Jairo Boniel. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Marciano Bizen took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Bruno Barrett to make any attempt to save it. Bruno Barrett stood somewhat misplaced when Marciano Bizen came free in front of goal and shot 0-14 to the left of him in the 79 minute. A sloppy throw-in by Bertie Johnson in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Cosa Nostra's Joel Suarez. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Marciano Bizen sent off a good shot on target. La Cosa Nostra's attentive Joel Suarez managed to snatch the ball when Bertie Johnson made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. With a little luck, Curacao's Bruno Barrett got control of the ball when Marciano Bizen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of La Cosa Nostra booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertie Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
