When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ataman Mülayim to make any attempt to save it. Süleymaniye's Ataman Mülayim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 15th minute of play. When Baysal Hüdayioğlu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Süleymaniye's protests and gave Baysal Hüdayioğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Baysal Hüdayioğlu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökçek Acem in the 22nd minute of the match. Pars Tongal hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Şinasi Ragıp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Panama's Jose Carita got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 played minutes Süleymaniye got a freekick which was hit by Gökçek Acem. Süleymaniye's Ataman Mülayim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ataman Mülayim. 2-0. In the 46th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataman Mülayim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ataman Mülayim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After a rather tough play, Panama's Miguel Miralles got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Miguel Miralles fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Miguel Miralles a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Şinasi Ragıp took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 83 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Panama had played much better football throughout.
