Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artur Golota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 15th minute of play forced Inter Miami's goalkeeper Olaf Brytka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's Waldemar Walkowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Walkowski in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Olaf Brytka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's goalkeeper Olaf Brytka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Waldemar Walkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Camilo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 41 in the game by Maximiliano Escribano from a close distance when the talented Olaf Brytka managed to make a qualified save. Inter Miami's players were relieved. 42 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Golota came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano.

Patryk Banaszak charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patryk Banaszak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Inter Miami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Banaszak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Brytka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 53rd minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Brytka having to interfere. If Waldemar Walkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bruno Beldad got free in front of the goal in the 70th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Olaf Brytka was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Olaf Brytka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olaf Brytka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Artur Golota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Brytka having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Walkowski struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Miami. The Uruguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Inter Miami to win.
