In the 8th minute Stefan Zawadzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ѕєηαтσякσвяα booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Hao Qiang Shi. But to his dismay, Hao Qiang Shi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Atak Üke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Atak Üke made a huge save. Atak Üke made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Borges in the 24th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Borges went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Zawadzki went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Efrain Moruga made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Noboa however managed to control. After 34 minutes of play, ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Angelo Borges made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hao Qiang Shi scored 0-6 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Zawadzki in the 41st minute of play. If Stefan Zawadzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the game, Angelo Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Angelo Borges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. In the 56th minute, ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Stefan Zawadzki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Zawadzki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Borges received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Angelo Borges slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 68th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After 75th play minutes Stefan Zawadzki shot 0-12, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. After 79 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. ѕєηαтσякσвяα's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paavo Maldini in the 81st minute. It was a well-played corner which Hao Qiang Shi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Stefan Zawadzki struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ѕєηαтσякσвяα. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Zawadzki in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 87th minute ѕєηαтσякσвяα were awarded a corner. Paavo Maldini went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Stefan Zawadzki managed to get in a good position for a shot. ѕєηαтσякσвяα's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Zawadzki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Angelo Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Stefan Zawadzki made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-14. When the final whistle sounded ѕєηαтσякσвяα left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
