In the 19th minute, Eugen Mihăilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Cazimir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugurel Botescu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Simared -MM-'s Ernest Cazimir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. Narcis Dragalina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Narcis Dragalina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dumitru Miron struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simared -MM-.

When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Narcis Dragalina sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Eugen Mihăilă was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 74th match minute, Simared -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Mihăilă to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Nicodim Codrea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Cazimir having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Gheorghe Şerbănoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simared -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gheorghe Şerbănoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernest Cazimir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
