Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Lucas Barcelos scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaudencio Iturri hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, C A U was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Iturri to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Panama booed when C A U was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Barcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, C A U's Feliberto Gonsalvo got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 27th minute of play. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to C A U getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lucas Barcelos hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Candido Firmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Candido Firmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. C A U's Eliseo Hurko was substituted for Candido Firmo. In the 48th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Conrado Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. C A U's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Ferrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Barcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Barcelos. Feliberto Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of C A U booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. C A U's Ceferino Hever was substituted for Conrado Ferrer. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. Lucas Barcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C A U's Lucas Barcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 79th minute of play. Lucas Barcelos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. C A U's Jorge Nahia was substituted for Lucas Barcelos. 89 minutes into the game, Eliseo Hurko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C A U's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. After 92 played minutes C A U got a freekick which was hit by Nico González. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Feliberto Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Although Panama had been in control for most of the match, C A U still came away with the win.
