After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Loramendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvestre Loramendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Loramendi saved Picantes del Norte from getting behind. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Veloso in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jairo Pueblo was slow to take the kick. During this time Picantes del Norte's players had a chance to rest. Picantes del Norte's Jairo Pueblo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th match minute, Picantes del Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 魏凌岚 to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Dráusio Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zrinko Pavković was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zrinko Pavković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Gisbert's late challenge caught a Picantes del Norte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th match minute, Picantes del Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Chan to maneuver through the defense. Picantes del Norte walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
