In the 6th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim Strugure to maneuver through the defense. Valer Nuțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alberto Tafalla, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Valer Nuțu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mădălin Arjoca made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Denis Bourceanu. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 31 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Petre Benga. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 32nd minute of the match. Claudiu Bosioc kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Valer Nuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Pânzaru. In the 44th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Valer Nuțu. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petre Benga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luca Zorita took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 55 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Valer Nuțu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 58 minutes into the match, Facundo Cadaval notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Valer Nuțu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play. Valer Nuțu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luca Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 68 minute of play. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Mădălin Arjoca kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Cazalla during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Valer Nuțu in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Nuțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Valer Nuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valer Nuțu came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-.
