After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Vitório Barral hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Vinhas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Tigres Paulista the free kick.
