A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Angel Vito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Adilson Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. Damian Diagur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Angel Vito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Adilson Breckenfeld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peng Xiong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Juan Sebastián Puig fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Juan Sebastián Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Vito having to interfere. If Peng Xiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Angel Vito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play. Peng Xiong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Peng Xiong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Crottos Crotters F.C. were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baldomero Mateo took the corner. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Solari in the 63rd minute of play. Angel Vito made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Benigno Elija was substituted for Adilson Breckenfeld. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Gerardo Gartzea was substituted for Wieslaw Zarobski. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crottos Crotters F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Juan Sebastián Puig drilling the ball in to score 2-1 behind Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goalkeeper. In the 76th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Pablo Solari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match Crottos Crotters F.C. got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baldomero Mateo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Crottos Crotters F.C. support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
