When Isac Mihălțan came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the A4p Dejani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Mihălțan couldn't finish the play. Michael Klein hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Florín Bratu's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florín Bratu helped the player get up and apologised. Florín Bratu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, A4p Dejani's Cornel Dinu got a free kick in the 20th minute. A collision led to A4p Dejani getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cornel Dinu hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Lobonț having to make a save. In the 29th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Isac Mihălțan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Felix Montes pulled a muscle in his leg after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when A4p Dejani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Vefik Hisar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Lobonț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Michael Klein was slow to take the kick. During this time A4p Dejani's players had a chance to rest. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isac Mihălțan was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Niculae, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Mihălțan in the 53rd minute of the match. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Bogdan Lobonț made a huge save. In the 55th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A4p Dejani's Bogdan Lobonț did a great save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Bogdan Lobonț despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p Dejani's Isac Mihălțan. But to his dismay, Isac Mihălțan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, A4p Dejani's Bogdan Lobonț got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cornel Dinu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Niculae in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isac Mihălțan's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Vefik Hisar in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p Dejani's Isac Mihălțan. But to his dismay, Isac Mihălțan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Daniel Zorita charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Zorita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 88th minute.
