After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ferit Balkoç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ges FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferit Balkoç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Imran Jøttrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferit Balkoç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Cemil Yesari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Imran Jøttrup made a huge save. In the 37th match minute, Ges FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Nedim Baykal to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ges FK's Imran Jøttrup got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferit Balkoç in the 44th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Imran Jøttrup having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ferit Balkoç made the kick off in the second half. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Imran Jøttrup read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Cemil Yesari shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Imran Jøttrup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 88th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Imran Jøttrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, Ferit Balkoç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ges FK and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ges FK's Imran Jøttrup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ges FK's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Imran Jøttrup came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
