Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Aguinhas's Albérico Neto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. If Albérico Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguinhas's Walmyr Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Aguinhas's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Queirós came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Aguinhas's Albérico Neto. But to his dismay, Albérico Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Walmyr Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Renato Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 25th minute Aguinhas were awarded a corner. Paulo Renato Fernandez went to the cornerflag to take it. Tadeo Txerran made a great header on Aguinhas's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albérico Neto in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Aguinhas were awarded a corner. Paulo Renato Fernandez went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Paulo Renato Fernandez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Agustín Saelices's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walmyr Queirós was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Aguinhas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Walmyr Queirós quite easily take care of the ball. Walmyr Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 39th minute of the match. Walmyr Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Faudel Gaume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Walmyr Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Walmyr Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aguinhas's Mazarópi Orange was substituted for Paulo Renato Fernandez. After 67 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play forced Aguinhas's goalkeeper Walmyr Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Walmyr Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Felix Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Walmyr Queirós skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 80th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmyr Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmyr Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aguinhas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
