Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Jaime Pardo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Alupoaie having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Emil Horațiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Horațiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Horațiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Milan's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciprian Alupoaie came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 minutes of play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciprian Alupoaie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcu Codruț hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 played minutes A.C. Milan got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Buceceanu. After having played for 43 minutes, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Milan's goalkeeper Ciprian Alupoaie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. Milan the free kick. Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Octav Hodorog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. Jacobo Nores was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mircea Olăroiu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinu Adomniței during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute, Dinu Adomniței hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octav Hodorog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Jaime Pardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rdth minute of the game Emil Horațiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Velicu in the 75th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciprian Alupoaie. A.C. Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Pardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paraguay had played much better football throughout.
