In the 4th minute Geovânio Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Jamaica's Finlay Stair ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guto do Vale. Guto do Vale yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Guto do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romon Oliver in the 36th minute. Guto do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlus Waugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká Campidelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Samuel Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká Campidelis got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Kaká Campidelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demonde Jacobson was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Samuel Alves might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Demonde Jacobson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel Alves ran back to his position shaking his head. Jamaall Padmore charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamaall Padmore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jamaica booed when Vicit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guto do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finlay Stair in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Vicit FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jamaica.
