Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Costin Giugiuc in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Costin Giugiuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes A.C. Milan got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Crăcană. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Costin Giugiuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Giugiuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of A.C. Milan's Costin Giugiuc. Costin Giugiuc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
