Cleto Baldovino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cleto Baldovino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by ERCİYES KARTALI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Cleto Baldovino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramo Ramø was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, ERCİYES KARTALI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuzkan Zümer to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ERCİYES KARTALI's Melker Forss got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleto Baldovino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 83 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cleto Baldovino. ERCİYES KARTALI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 90 played minutes ERCİYES KARTALI got a freekick which was hit by Ramo Ramø. Cleto Baldovino made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to ERCİYES KARTALI getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Yasin İldeniz hit a great ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Baldovino having to interfere.
