Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Aurelio Mederi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, A.C. Milan's Flavius Dragotescu got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Costin Giugiuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Dumitru Zdrăilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Aurelio Mederi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 played minutes, A.C. Milan's Aurelio Mederi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.C. Milan reached it. In the 12th minute of the match A.C. Milan got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelio Mederi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emil Gheară got in the 12th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dante Lacasa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Costin Giugiuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Aurelio Mederi scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costin Giugiuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Zdrăilă in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Costin Giugiuc. The goal made the score 1-1. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Costin Giugiuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Gheară in the 37th minute of play. Costin Giugiuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Mederi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when A.C. Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Nichita didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of A.C. Milan booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Zdrăilă in the 53rd minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Costică Chiriloaie sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Giugiuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Costin Giugiuc came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Milan's goalkeeper Costin Giugiuc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurelio Mederi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costin Giugiuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Giugiuc having to interfere. Ciprian Bejan hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of A.C. Milan's Costin Giugiuc. Costin Giugiuc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Dante Lacasa went to the wrong direction when Aurelio Mederi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Mexico's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
