The Aves Negras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Bakar should have stopped the shot. Raimundo Padro got a throw-in 22 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alejo Goyo. In the 24th minute, Aves Negras's Guter Tobia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The supporters of Colombia booed when Aves Negras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezar Ciorogaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Samuel Navarro hit a great ball. Aves Negras's Guter Tobia got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abram Sarmiento scored 2-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Bakar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 45 minutes, Guter Tobia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aves Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guter Tobia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

53 minutes into the match, Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santino Seco. Marcial Bakar made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Aves Negras's Aaron Gallagher was substituted for Humberto Urtsin. When Guter Tobia came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Aves Negras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guter Tobia couldn't finish the play. Marcial Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 66th minute of the match. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guter Tobia in the 69th minute of play. Guter Tobia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Aves Negras made a substitution. Horacio Matro replaced Tamer Yalçıner. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Aves Negras were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Efrain Artal took the corner. Aves Negras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Abram Secada scored to the left of an out of position Marcial Bakar, making the score, 2-3. 83 minutes into the match, Efrain Artal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Artal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 87th minute Efrain Artal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Artal in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Efrain Artal notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Horacio Matro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Aves Negras's supporters were highly satisfied with the result.
