The crowd rose to their feet as Michelangelo Merganiotis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Su Premetis. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. In the 8th minute, Ralf Sundin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Akis Sarafis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Arne Broman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Akis Sarafis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Sundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralf Sundin took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Akis Sarafis. Akis Sarafis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Akis Sarafis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Blanck in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Fusk&Bygg AB's goal looked a bit too open when Michelangelo Merganiotis came free, but Su Premetis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akis Sarafis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Sundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Thomas Kallergis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akis Sarafis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Sundin in the 34th minute of the match. Akis Sarafis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Sundin in the 43rd minute of play. The AFC Ajax players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fusk&Bygg AB were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ralf Sundin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michelangelo Merganiotis in the 55th minute of play forced Fusk&Bygg AB's goalkeeper Su Premetis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Ralf Sundin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Akis Sarafis. Ralf Sundin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. AFC Ajax's Aureo Morera was substituted for German Sarracino. AFC Ajax made a substitution. Markos Seremetidis replaced Nikos Sterpis. With a little luck, AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis got control of the ball when Ralf Sundin tried to sneak it across the goal line. AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Ajax from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute Lambis Zacharatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Su Premetis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
