The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Servando got free with Rolando Noboa in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Laurenz Goddez came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Servando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The La Candela FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
