If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demircan Nadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after La Società Sport Osasco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Facundo Cadaval made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that La Società Sport Osasco's Samuel Santos managed to reach the ball for a save. CJ Lewandowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Società Sport Osasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by La Società Sport Osasco's João Andrade. Samuel Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute.

Bruno Quirino hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 54th minute of play forced La Società Sport Osasco's goalkeeper Samuel Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, CJ Lewandowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Società Sport Osasco's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Lewandowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Cadaval got free with Samuel Santos in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 64th minute. CJ Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Società Sport Osasco. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Samuel Santos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gilvan Maranhense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 79th minute of play forced La Società Sport Osasco's goalkeeper Samuel Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to La Società Sport Osasco getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. CJ Lewandowski hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. La Società Sport Osasco were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
