Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aurelio Mederi kicked off to start the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Mederi, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Mederi in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costin Giugiuc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Zdrăilă in the 10th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.C. Milan were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aurelio Mederi took the corner. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Mederi went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, A.C. Milan's Aurelio Mederi got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the game, A.C. Milan's Costică Chiriloaie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Aurelio Mederi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Milan's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Giugiuc came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Mederi in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dumitru Zdrăilă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Dumitru Zdrăilă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelio Mederi succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Mederi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. Milan the free kick. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Aurelio Mederi sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Costică Chiriloaie reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 0-7. In the 78th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Zdrăilă in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, A.C. Milan's Aurelio Mederi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. After 91 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the A.C. Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Costică Chiriloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded A.C. Milan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
