Mei Zhi Jian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 8th minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mei Zhi Jian's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 10th minute of play forced LiBeRiA F.C.'s goalkeeper Perrando Martínez Lamas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Mei Zhi Jian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Mei Zhi Jian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 18th minute of play forced LiBeRiA F.C.'s goalkeeper Perrando Martínez Lamas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Mei Zhi Jian managed to get in a good position for a shot. LiBeRiA F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mei Zhi Jian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Mei Zhi Jian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mei Zhi Jian in the 34th minute of play. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Perrando Martínez Lamas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Mei Zhi Jian took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mei Zhi Jian to strike the kick off in the second half. If Mei Zhi Jian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mei Zhi Jian in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Oliverio in the 56th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorio Oliverio went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Clemente Montes fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LiBeRiA F.C.'s protests and gave Clemente Montes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Clemente Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Covarrubias charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Covarrubias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. LiBeRiA F.C.'s Victorio Oliverio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perrando Martínez Lamas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 66th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Mei Zhi Jian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LiBeRiA F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Mei Zhi Jian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72nd play minutes Mei Zhi Jian shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Emilijano Kitanovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Montes made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 88th minute, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Perrando Martínez Lamas. Perrando Martínez Lamas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. The audience was convinced that Mei Zhi Jian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Victorio Oliverio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
