Dumitru Corbea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philippe-Arnaud Reynders in the 14th minute of play forced -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Dumitru Corbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Matty Vandenbosch came free, but Dumitru Corbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match, Petru Pamfil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Di Maio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Matty Vandenbosch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dumitru Corbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matty Vandenbosch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Niculae Luican got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Philippe-Arnaud Reynders left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Nederename fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With an all-out effort, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Bernardo Di Maio threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Petru Pamfil, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half KFC Nederename were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philippe-Arnaud Reynders stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Dave van Hollebecke had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Nicodim Vătăşel's late challenge caught a KFC Nederename's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodim Vătăşel helped the player get up and apologised. KFC Nederename's Brian De Malier was substituted for Dave van Hollebecke. In the 53rd minute, Nicodim Vătăşel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Werner Vrancken from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Dumitru Corbea's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Wannes van Elderen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Corbea having to interfere. The KFC Nederename fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when KFC Nederename's Philippe-Arnaud Reynders looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dumitru Corbea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wannes van Elderen in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Philippe-Arnaud Reynders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Nicolae Pârâianu got a free kick in the 78th minute. Dan Senin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dumitru Corbea came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Nederename's Philippe-Arnaud Reynders. But to his dismay, Philippe-Arnaud Reynders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Bernardo Di Maio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Pamfil in the 85th minute of play. Philippe-Arnaud Reynders succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. Wannes van Elderen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Corbea having to interfere.
