The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Horacio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Nisipeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Lucas Nataniel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iulian Nisipeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Lucas Nataniel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iulian Nisipeanu. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Nataniel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 21st minute, Lucas Nataniel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iulian Nisipeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The supporters of -BZF- Viitorul Buzau booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Dolcet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Horacio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Iulian Nisipeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Dolcet took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Nisipeanu. Iulian Nisipeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. 36 minutes into the game, Horacio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Iulian Nisipeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Dolcet in the 41st minute of play forced -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Iulian Nisipeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Iulian Nisipeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Francis in the 43rd minute of play. Ismael Dolcet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Horacio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iulian Nisipeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quilmes made a substitution. Braulio Barrionuevo replaced Horacio Francis. Braulio Barrionuevo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-13 in the 64th playminute. 71 minutes into the match, Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Pamfil came free, but Adan Lartaun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Lauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iulian Nisipeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Quilmes's Braulio Barrionuevo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iulian Nisipeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-18. When the match was over Quilmes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than -BZF- Viitorul Buzau throughout the match.
