An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski in the 5th minute of play forced FC Borówiec's goalkeeper Borys Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kazimierz Kissel made a great header on Juve Górnik Knurów's corner, it was just that FC Borówiec's Borys Buffon managed to reach the ball for a save. Borys Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kazimierz Kissel's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. FC Borówiec were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Juve Górnik Knurów's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. André Mattsson took the corner. Radoslaw Mierzwa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Juve Górnik Knurów's Radoslaw Mierzwa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobiasz Niemoj in the 16th minute of play. Juve Górnik Knurów's Radoslaw Mierzwa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamza Erzan in the 32nd minute of play. Tobiasz Niemoj in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radoslaw Mierzwa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marek Galus hit a great ball. Juve Górnik Knurów's Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, FC Borówiec's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski came free, but Borys Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Juve Górnik Knurów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobromir Smolarek to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Borys Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Radoslaw Mierzwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobiasz Niemoj, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Hamza Erzan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tobiasz Niemoj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radoslaw Mierzwa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Petka in the 73rd minute of the match. After 77 minutes Juve Górnik Knurów's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was André Mattsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC Borówiec's Wit Dombrowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Radoslaw Mierzwa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Borys Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Marchefka in the 79th minute of play. Juve Górnik Knurów's Radoslaw Mierzwa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Mattsson in the 83rd minute of play.
