Borys Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Frans Van Caubergen took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Borys Buffon. Borys Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Mattsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Loid De Keuster got free with Borys Buffon in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Robert Brzakala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wit Dombrowski in the 62nd minute of play. FC Borówiec's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fryderyk Mondrowski shot a long shot in the 94th minute and a light blocked Borys Buffon hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-4.
