In the 17th minute of the match BVB Borussia Solec Zdrój got a corner. Silver Squad AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Handoko Basuki ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led BVB Borussia Solec Zdrój's Handoko Basuki to fire away a dangerous shot which Waud De Geyter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Daniil Kondratiev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waud De Geyter was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
