The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Corvasce during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donovan Belli was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Filippo Serra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Pozzino's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippo Serra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Alex Cappucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Cappucci was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th minute, Alex Cappucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filippo Serra hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Donovan Belli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. With his leg Donovan Belli managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Honduras's Sebastian Villa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 81 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Filippo Serra came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dennis Corvasce who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Honduras's goalie and right to Armin Minati. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Honduras's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 85 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Corvasce came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Ivan Navarro with Sebastian Villa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 95th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Belli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. With his leg Donovan Belli managed to avoid a goal in the 98thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chants of Honduras echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Real Pozzino had held the ball for most of the match.
