Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Muharrem Sebih. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Romero in the 6th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Muharrem Sebih sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dursun Ekinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafer Korcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Gençlerbirliği got a freekick which was hit by Cafer Korcan. In the 24th minute of the match, Constantijn Airpoel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stanislaw Rekowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Gençlerbirliği's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Gençlerbirliği's corner Stanislaw Rekowski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Muharrem Sebih in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Muharrem Sebih who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute Conrado Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play forced Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Dursun Ekinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Gençlerbirliği's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Luca Rouco to fire away a dangerous shot which Dursun Ekinci despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 47 minutes, Luca Rouco made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gençlerbirliği's Dursun Ekinci tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Mexico were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Gençlerbirliği's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Stanislaw Rekowski tried in the game's 55th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Dursun Ekinci. An annoying self made goal, 0-2. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Dursun Ekinci made a huge save. Muharrem Sebih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gençlerbirliği's Bertil Winström was substituted for Kristen Michálek. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dursun Ekinci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Dursun Ekinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Claude van Damme in the 76th minute of play. Gençlerbirliği's İhsan Temizkanoğlu was substituted for Filiph Låsberg. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 85 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Gaona. 97 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Claude van Damme came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
