Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hortêncio Duarte. Edmundo Espiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hortêncio Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hortêncio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 18th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Cafu Martins in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 25th minute of play. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cafu Martins in the 26 minute of the game. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hortêncio Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pindorama's goalie prevented a goal. Raúl Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Cafu Martins made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. After 46 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hortêncio Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelsinho Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Hortêncio Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. 60 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Tafalla came free, but Hortêncio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pindorama's Bernardo Terra got a free kick in the 61st minute. Moises Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hortêncio Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Edgar Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Edgar Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute, Genílson Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute of play. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cafu Martins, made in the 96th minute of the game. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
