Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ludomir Zacharek kicked off to start the match. Ludomir Zacharek took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ludomir Zacharek scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ludomir Zacharek went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Cezary Kasiewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Ludomir Zacharek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS Katowice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 32nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Zacharek, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 46 minutes into the game, one of GKS Katowice:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 52nd minute of play. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Lucjan Werra sent off a good shot on target. If Lucjan Werra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betão Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Lucjan Werra tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Cezary Kasiewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 70th minute of play. If Cezary Kasiewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cezary Kasiewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GKS Katowice the free kick. After 81 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. A hard shot 83 in the game by Lucjan Werra from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. GKS Katowice's Lucjan Werra got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Lucjan Werra sent off a good shot on target. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GKS Katowice were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
