Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Bueno in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Garopaba F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cauan dos Santos. Orlando da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Correia in the 19th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Orlando da Cunha made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Orlando da Cunha however easily saved by the left post. After 31 minutes Garopaba F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. 33 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orlando da Cunha, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Dedé Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dedé Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Orlando da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Garopaba F.C booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Orlando da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 55th minute of the match. Cauan dos Santos's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauan dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mexico booed when Garopaba F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Nicolas Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando da Cunha saved Garopaba F.C from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Orlando da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garopaba F.C made a substitution. Rogelio Urtungo replaced Dedé Correia. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes, Yanne Van Meerbeeck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garopaba F.C and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Garopaba F.C's Yanne Van Meerbeeck got a free kick in the 89th minute. Orlando da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 96th minute. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orlando da Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Garopaba F.C players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mexico from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
