Sílvio Pires made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Jaime Pardos short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Sílvio Pires to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Sílvio Pires got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Sílvio Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 31st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jackson Nascimento made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Jaime Pardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 64th minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Sílvio Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Alan Campos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Ivan Prats made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ATHLETICO PRaiano's José Paulo Almeida. 74 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Sílvio Pires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Pardo.
