Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Curcio. Yala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 11 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. A hard shot by Raimundo Frans from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Dante Lacasa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 19 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luca Zorita during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Valentine to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Yala's Generoso Pinto got a free kick in the 45th minute. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Zeledon Curcio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Zeledon Curcio was a little too slow when Joel Gaona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 56th minute, Luca Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Curcio. Yala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Niki Bundev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Bundev in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Yala's Zeledon Curcio got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Frans hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of Yala booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. Zeledon Curcio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zeledon Curcio came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 93rd minute. The Yala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
